Layer Switch GLX4000 utilizes a chassis and blade architecture
that provides an easy and cost-effective way to expand
the crossbar switch as needs grow. The system chassis
can accommodate up to three (6) hot-swappable interface
blades, each with forty eight (48) SFP or Firewire ports.
As the blades all connect to a common backplane, the cross
connect functionality extends across any combination of
blades and ports.

Port Physical Layer Switch 2.5 Multi-Protocol
The 32 Port Physical Layer Switch LinkXchange
LX2500 is a multi-purpose, non-blocking 32-port crosspoint
switch for digital signals at speeds up to 2.5 gigabits
per second (Gbps). Any of its 32 outputs can be connected
to any one of its 32 inputs. The protocol or structure
of data routed through the switch is ignored by the LX2500
and is unaltered by its passage through the switch. This
allows the LX2500 to be used with many different types
of networks and signals - Fibre Channel, Serial FPDP,
Sonet, HDTV, GigE.

The 32 Port Physical Layer LinkXchange
LX1500e is a multipurpose, non-blocking 32-port crossbar
switch for digital signals at speeds up to 1.5 gigabits
per second (Gbps). Any of the 32 outputs can be connected
to any one of the 32 inputs. The protocol or structure
of data routed through the hub is ignored by the LX1500e
and is unaltered by its passage through the hub.

& 8 Port Physical Layer Switch
A single VME card provides an 8-port switch
solution. The addition of an 8-port expansion card provides
a total of 16 ports, with the ability to connect any of
its 16 outputs to any one of its 16 inputs. Each port
input provides an option of data retiming or bypassing
the retiming circuitry altogether.
